How to Advertise |
| |
Introduction |
Machinery.co.uk has been designed to give our advertisers the best possible service.
Our editorial content, industry news section, product and services directory are
all engineered to deliver you leads. But not just any lead. Only leads from serious
enquiries by known machine tool buyers and engineering service and component specifiers.
We’ve made the site simple for production engineers and buyers to use. For efficient
searching and sourcing the directory content is organised under thousands of classified
manufacturing and engineering related headings covering suppliers of new and used
machine tools, tooling and workholding, sub-contract services and engineering components
products/services. Engineering jobs are organised in the same way making it easy
for the engineer to match skills to vacancies. And there are links to production
IT and factory equipment and service directories too. |
And we don't stop there. At the point of writing an editorial feature article, Machinery's
editors will select appropriate material to highlight for readers looking for further
information on specific manufacturing topics. These editors’ links include company
and product brand names and link to websites for mentioned organisations – maximising
their investment in their public relations’ (PR) investment. |
Advertising Options |
Basic supplier information included in our comprehensive directory is listed free
of charge provided the data meets our quality standard. By enhancing your basic
entry you can gain huge additional benefit at very low cost. And there are a number
of advertising and promotional options to choose from. |
Enhanced Record
£150 allows you to add your company logo and a 100 word sales message to your record
card. If you are a Machinery or Machinery Classified preferred advertiser then we
can also include a Product Spotlight feature which links photographs of your main
product lines to your own website which will ensure you stand apart from the competition.
This is designed to drive leads direct to your website at the specific product pages
for specific enquiries. |
Banner
You can gain prominence and exclusivity in any section of the site by placing a
banner. There is one banner position on each page, randomly selected from a maximum
of three. Your banner stays on the screen for as long as the user does so your message
can be as long as you desire with animation recommended to enhance your appeal and
attract click throughs from buyers. Once booked, a section banner remains exclusively
yours for as long as you want. Prices start from £500 per annum depending on location.
Priority Listing
Our advertisers’ results head the list in any search result screen. All other suppliers
are then displayed in alphabetical order. But by purchasing a Priority Listing for
£150 per annum you can promote your company above your competitors. All priority
listing companies are also presented alphabetically. |
Message Panel
Not quite a banner, more like a display advertisement with more space for copy and
graphics. If you want to announce a new machine tool or service, or promote a special
offer or an Open House event, Message Panels offer the ideal opportunity. All options
can link to a specific web page on www.machinery.co.uk or to a page on your own
website. |
Three advertising Message Panel options are available:
- Large central Message Panel gives you the most prominent position available on any
page. Price: £400 per quarter. The dimensions are 330 pixels x 150 pixels with a
max file size of 25K.
- Smaller panels (up to three per screen) appear down the right hand side of the main
pages. Price: £100 per month. The standard dimensions are 190 pixels x 45 pixels
with a max file size of 15K.
- A Text only panel can offer short text and a link to either an email or a website.
Price: £50 per month. The number of words are limited to a maximum of 25.
Editorial Message Panel
Machinery.co.uk offers more than product selection. The News and Technology Zone
areas allow the production engineer user to stay abreast of the latest industry
news, product and technology developments, best practice and technical know-how
case studies.
- You can sponsor this section in a number of ways. Whenever your organisation or
product is mentioned in an editorial item being read on screen, a large central
Message Panel is presented. This provides an excellent way to support your editorial
and push a targeted message to readers. Alternatively, you can sponsor a generic
topic – it could be a machine tool type, Machining Centres, say – in which case
your Message Panel would appear whenever a search is made for that subject – whether
it’s an article about you or your competitors that are mentioned in the returned
article. Costs only £250 per quarter (min 6 months). The dimensions are 330 pixels
x 150 pixels with a max file size of 30K.

Machinery Classified Photo listing
If you are a machine tool dealer with used machines for sale you can include your
Photo Listings advertisements from Machinery Classified magazine in the Product
Spotlight area of your enhanced record card. These link to full descriptions of
the machine with full details for direct contact from buyers. This costs from as
little as £60 per machine per month depending upon volume of machines advertised.
The photo of the machine will be scaled by us for the magazine and inclusion onto
the website.
E-zine Sponsorship |
Each week, targeted emails will be distributed to registered readers to inform them
of the latest updates to news, technology zone content, jobs, events and announcing
publication of the latest on digital magazine releases. Sponsorship of this email
would enable your brand to be recognised on a regular basis. Costs from £100 per
week. Both graphic (190 pixels x 150 pixel dimensions) and text based messages (25
words) are available.
Product or Company Profile and Case Histories |
A Product or Company Profile is an HTML page that we create for you and it is the
equivalent of a full-page display advertisement in print advertising terms – except
that it can do so much more. Case history pages are the editorial equivalent. You
are not really restricted on space, you can include multiple animated graphics and
links to other pages, websites or direct response mechanisms such as email enquires.
Costs only £250 per page per year.

Catalogue
The first thing most engineers ask for when they call is a copy of your catalogue.
So why not let them print or download it directly from the site and save on your
printing and postage costs? We can scan and upload your catalogue from as little
as £260 per annum. Cost dependent on page numbers. |
